- To strengthen the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control program of RF, RHD, IHD, hypertensive heart diseases as well as to reduce the incidence, morbidity and mortality in Bangladesh.
- To conduct research activities and find out the prevalence & incidence of Streptococcal sore throat, RF, RHD, IHD and hypertensive heart diseases
- To enhance the awareness about prevention and control of Streptococcal sore throat, RF, RHD, Hypertension & IHD.
- To diagnose, treatment, prevention and control of cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidaemia, obesity.
- To disseminate the related activities to other medical institutions including medical colleges, district hospitals and upazila health complexes through training program, seminar, symposium etc.
